Weakley County Soil Conservation Records

The Soil Conservation Service was established in the mid-1930's in Weakley County, Tennessee by the United States Department of Agriculture to address the problem of soil erosion in the county The collection contains correspondence, field reports, newspaper clippings, maps, brochures, flyers, and photograph of the Soil Conservation Service's activities from 1938 to 1961. Included in the photograph's are members of the Civilian Conservation Corp. located in Dresden, Tennessee.
