Glenna Sumner is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Dr. Sumner received her Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Oklahoma in 1993 after receiving her MBA, with a concentration in Finance, at Southern Illinois - Carbondale in 1987. She had previously received her BS in Business Administration (Finance) from Southeast Missouri State University in 1984. She has worked as an economics or finance professor for several Universities the South-Central and Midwest United States throughout her career. She also engages in consulting work and is active in her research, with multiple publications in Economic Development, Environmental Economics, Public Policy, Technology Licensing, Macroeconomics, Monetary Policy, Banking, Finance and Insurance, and Topical Pedagogy. She has given presentations of her research both internationally and here in the United States.
