Dr. Yancy E. Freeman is UT Martin’s 12th chief executive officer and leads a primary regional university in the University of Tennessee System that includes the main campus and five regional centers located throughout West Tennessee. He previously served at UT Chattanooga for the past 25 years in various admissions, recruitment and enrollment roles.

The Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer. The CAO oversees all academic programs and curricula offered by the five colleges, the Paul Meek Library, and the Honors Program. The provost/SVCAA also oversees all enrollment and academic support areas and institutional effectiveness offices.

The Chief of Staff to the Chancellor is dedicated to spearheading the progression and realization of university objectives and critical strategic initiatives through seamless cooperation with senior leadership, the UT System, and constituents across the campus and community. Additionally, this position assumes the dual responsibility of serving as the Executive Director for WestStar Leadership and the Ned Ray McWherter Institute.
