Brief History:
Ellington Hall was third structure on campus to repeat the double-Y dormitory design. Construction began in the spring of 1966. By the fall of 1967, the building was completed and was ready to house 528 students. It was officially named Ellington Hall on April 17, 1969 in honor of Governor Buford Ellington. It still serves as a single-students' residence hall.
