Become a news anchor with a communications degree.
Do you have a voice (or a face) for radio? The field of broadcasting includes both television and radio production (commercials, newscasts, sports commentary, etc.) as well as on-air talent. Students in this area gain practical experience working the board, booth and microphones at WUTM FM 90.3 “The Hawk” - UT Martin's award-winning, student-run campus radio station - and are responsible for not only reporting the news, but also interviewing people, writing articles, producing newscasts and programming the station.
“My favorite thing about UTM is always seeing a familiar face! Whether it be on campus, at a football game, or somewhere in the community, there is always someone I know from UTM. ”
