A degree in manufacturing engineering will teach you how to design the processes and equipment needed to produce products, including learning how to design sequences, as well as tooling, dies and molds. These engineers determine the best way to use machinery to maximize efficiency and control costs through automation and the use of robotics and electronic control systems. As a graduate of the manufacturing program, you can have the opportunity to work for companies that manufacture a wide array of products associated with the automotive, electronics and consumer product markets.
“UT Martin has given me amazing opportunities for education, leadership, and my career. There is free tutoring for most classes, various academic clubs and activities to join, and the Office of Career Planning and Development will work to help ensure that you are employed after you graduate. Although we are a small school, I have found many opportunities for internships and undergraduate research. ”
