Honor Band

The UTM Honor Band has provided generations of the top student musicians from programs in the mid-South the opportunity to work together with fantastic guest conductors. During their time on campus, students engage with high quality and challenging literature, learn new skills, enrich their musical experiences, and produce artistic and exciting performances. Honor Choir

This event brings high school students from across this area to the UT Martin campus to sing together in a two-day festival. It is the desire of the music department at UTM to bring high-level musical experiences to the northwest Tennessee area. Through the Honor Choir Festival, high school students will learn high-quality literature, work with collegiate conductors and professors, and create an inspiring and engaging performance that is open to families, friends, and the community.

Music Major for a Day

Music Major for a Day is a unique event for high school students to experience what it is like to be a music major or minor at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Attendees will hear performances, meet our world-class faculty, shadow a current UTM Music major, take a campus tour, and participate in other college activities. Seniors must sing or play an audition for acceptance into the Department of Music.

Chamberfest

Chamber Fest is an annual event for exceptional high school musicians seeking to make music at a high level in a small chamber group setting. Through participation, students will develop skills inherent in chamber music including collaboration, musical awareness, style, intonation, and timing. Students will also be introduced to new repertoire, receive coaching by our world-class music faculty, and rehearse and perform alongside other motivated high school musicians.

Treble Honor Choir

Treble Honor Choir is for unchanged voices in grade 3 - 8 to work with exceptional guest conductors and perform diverse repertoire. The one day festival creates an environment for students to expand their musical knowledge and collaborate with other young singers.

All-west Audition Clinic

UTM Music's All-West Audition Clinic (AWAC) will be on December 8th from 1 - 3 pm. AWAC is designed to connect students who wish to improve their preparation and performance of the WTSBOA All-West region études. Students will connect with and receive feedback and advice from members of the world-class UTM faculty.
