What is the Launch Program?
An initiative designed to foster a supportive and seamless transition for students with disabilities entering university life. The program aims to create an inclusive and accessible environment, promoting academic success, social integration, and overall well-being.
Early Move-In
- Participants will have the opportunity to move into their dorm rooms two days before other students arrive on campus.
- Early Move-In ensures a quieter and less overwhelming environment, allowing students to familiarize themselves with their living spaces and campus surroundings at their own pace.
Campus Integration
- Peer supporters and Accessibility Resource Center staff will be assigned to guide participants on a campus tour where students will have the opportunity to see where their classes will be located.
- Participants will meet with members of the ARC team to learn how to put your accommodations to use.
- Participants will have the opportunity to meet representatives from our Writing Center, Math Lab, and other on-campus resources.
Social Events
- Participants will join the ARC team for an evening meal to celebrate our new students (parents are welcome)
- The ARC Coffee Social: Students can visit the ARC staff in Clement Hall for coffee, refreshments, and a chance to socialize as they familiarize themselves with campus.
- The ARC Open House: Students will have the opportunity to meet with the ARC staff individually to discuss accommodations and ask any remaining questions they may have.
