Tutoring
At the UTM Writing Center, we always have several staff and student tutors available to consult with you on your writing. We can work with you at any stage of the writing process, so bring whatever you have to us: we’ll be glad to sit down with you and discuss it!
To schedule an appointment, please use our WC Online portal: https://utm.mywconline.net/
Events
The writing center partners with a variety of campus organizations to host events each semester, including roundtables where we celebrate writing with the campus at large. Sometimes we host guest speakers; other times, we invite the community to read their favorite works, including their own stories. Check our Facebook page or your university email to see how you can participate in the next roundtable!

Our Namesake
Our center is named in memory of Hortense Parrish, a longtime composition instructor at UT Martin. Ms. Parrish often volunteered her time to help students with their writing on an individual basis, and her efforts culminated in the foundation of a writing center on our campus.
