Registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) and registered nutritionist dietetic technicians (NDTRs) are required to be licensed/certified in some states. It is a requirement in TN for RDNs to be licensed. A registration examination must be passed to be eligible for licensure. To be eligible to take the registration examination, a master’s degree must be completed that meets accreditation standards.
