Jason L. Earley (Retired)

Jason serves as the student veteran coordinator and the point of contact for all TA, state, and federal student veteran assistance. Students will be assigned an academic advisor within their program of study. He completes requirements as the school certifying official which includes support of veteran student and families, National Guard and Reserve Soldiers, Cadets, and those currently serving. Within his role, he completes normal annual training requirements and attends all conferences associated with these duties.

Jason Earley was born in Paducah, Kentucky. He was raised in South Fulton, Tennessee where he graduated from South Fulton High School. In 1999, enlisted into the United States Army and completed Basic Training and Motor Transport Advanced individual Training as an 88M at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. After reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant, he attended Officer Candidate School and was commissioned in the US Army Transportation Corps in May 2008. During his career he has deployed in support of Operation Desert Spring, Operation Iraq Freedom, OIF 2.5, Operation New Dawn, and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Jason’s military education includes Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Leader Course, Tactical Operations Instructor Course, Officer Candidate School, Transportation Officers Basic Course, Captains Logistics Career Course. His service positions included various positions during his enlisted service culminating with platoon sergeant and tactical operations instructor. His officer positions included platoon leader, company executive officer, brigade logistics officer, company commander, and assistant professor of military science.

He earned a Graduate Degree of Arts in Leadership Studies from Western Kentucky University in May 2015. His Bachelors of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice Administration was earned through Columbia College, Missouri University.

His military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal (7 Awards), Army Achievement Medal (3 Awards), Good Conduct Medal (3 awards), National Defense Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (3 Tours), Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (2 Awards), and Army Service Ribbon. His unit awards include the Meritorious Unit Commendation (2 awards); badges Driver’s Badge f/ Wheel vehicles, Combat Action Badge.

Captain Earley currently resides in Trenton, Tennessee with his wife Kristina. He has twin daughters Jaylee and Preslee and a son Rylan.
