Disclosure of Student Cohort Default Rate
In compliance with Federal Requirements and the Department of Defense, if UT Martin’s Cohort Default Rate (CDR) exceeds the national average CDR, UTM will disclose this information and provide its students with the loan repayment data. The Cohort Default Rate is updated on a yearly basis and can be found in the Consumer Information section of Financial Aid and Scholarship website.
Gold Star Family Scholarship
This scholarship honors the sacrifice of those who gave their lives for freedom. Two $500 scholarships are awarded every year. Veterans, active duty military, and National Guard members attending UTM for undergraduate school are eligible to receive the scholarship. Three Star General Scholarship
This scholarship honors the three Lt. Generals from UTM. One $500 scholarship is awarded to one veteran attending graduate school at UTM. Veteran students in graduate school are eligible to receive the scholarship. For more information, visit the Scholarship Aviator on the Financial Aid webpage.

Tennessee National Guard Scholarship Program
Tennessee National Guard Association (NGATN) offers six (6) $1,500.00 scholarships in the following categories: one (1) exclusively for an active Army or Air National Guard member; two (2) for active members of the NGATN or their dependents; two (2) active members of the Tennessee National Guard. If an active member of the Tennessee Army or Air National Guard does not qualify for the stipend, these scholarships may be awarded to any qualified son or daughter of an active member of the Tennessee National Guard; one (1) for a current member of the TN National Guard or qualified son or daughter who participated in Operation Desert Storm, Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Eligibility: National Guard Service members.

The Marines’ Memorial Association
The Marines’ Memorial Association is an organization that is open to veterans and active duty personnel of all military branches who served honorably in the military and in April 2015 the organization will award over $100,000 in scholarships to our U.S. Military Veterans from all branches.The Marines’ Memorial Association has a total of 8 Scholarships Programs for the 2015 – 2016 school year. And the following 2 Scholarship Programs are open to all veterans and do not require a membership to the Marines Memorial Association to apply.
The Hammer Family Scholarship
Eight of these Hammer Family Scholarships are available in the amount of $5,000 each. All eligible U.S. Veterans who wish to study in the fields of Math, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering (Aerospace, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, or Mechanical) are welcome to apply. James and Linda Hammer are Benefactor Members of the Marines’ Memorial Association and are eager to assist student Veterans committed to advancing their education.
The Memorial Tribute Scholarship
Four of these Memorial Tribute Scholarships are available in the amount of $2,500 each. The Tribute Scholarship is available for military personnel leaving full time service and entering an undergraduate college program. All US military personnel who have transitioned from Active Duty to reserve or civilian status within the past 3 years may apply.

The AFCEA Educational Foundation Education Scholarship Opportunity
These $2,500 merit-based scholarships are available to active duty military or U.S. military veterans of the Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan or Iraqi Freedom Operations who are enrolled part-time or full-time in an eligible STEM major degree program. Students must be sophomores or juniors to apply.

What's Covered?
The U.S. Army health care team will pay 100 percent of your tuition for a graduate-level health care degree for any accredited medical, dental, veterinary, psychology or optometry program in the United States or Puerto Rico.
Full-Tuition Scholarship, Plus a $20,000 Sign-On Bonus
The U.S. Army Medical Department can help take away the worry of how you’ll pay for school. The F. Edward Hébert Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program is available to qualifying students who wish to earn professional degrees from accredited medical, dental, optometry, veterinary, psychiatric nurse practitioner, clinical or counseling psychology programs. We will pay 100 percent of your tuition, plus we will also pay for required books, equipment and most academic fees. Who's Eligible?
The HPSP is available for students pursuing advanced degrees in medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, psychiatric nursing, optometry or psychology. To qualify for the Health Professions Scholarship Program, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen with a baccalaureate degree from an accredited school
- Be enrolled in (or have a letter or acceptance from) an accredited graduate program in the U.S. or Puerto Rico (varies by specialty)
- Maintain full-time student status during the length of the program
- Qualify as a commissioned officer

Sentinels of Freedom (SOF) Scholarship
A 2-4 year Sentinels of Freedom Scholarship focuses support in the following areas: Education, Housing, Mentoring, Employment, Career & Networking Assistance and Financial Planning. You are eligible if you meet the following criteria:
- Member of the any branch of the armed forces, active, guard or reserves who has been severely wounded or injured, in a service connected event post- 9/11; this includes combat related, training accidents and non-physical injuries
- Received a permanent VA disability rating of 50% or higher as listed on their VA Rating Statement
- Have received or will be receiving an honorable discharge
- Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in full-time post-secondary education or vocational school. Must be a VA approved school (SOF) can be flexible on the full time requirement in certain circumstances, depending on the level of injury and ability to maintain full-time education)
- Highly motivated individuals with the drive to reach personal, educational and career goals
- Must be willing to actively engage with mentor and networking opportunities provided by (SOF)

The Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship (Fry Scholarship) pays eligible dependents up to 36 months of the full, 100% level, of the Post-9/11 GI Bill® . Founded in 2008, the Pat Tillman Scholars program supports our nation’s active-duty service members, veterans and military spouses by investing in their higher education. Since the program’s inception, the Foundation has invested over $6 million in scholarships for 347 scholars nationwide.
AMVETS Scholarships for veterans and family (Children and grandchildren)
AMVETS annually awards scholarships to veterans/active military, their sons, daughters or grand-children. A son, daughter or grandchild of a deceased veteran is also eligible. Awarded on the basis of academic excellence and financial need, the scholarships go to deserving high school seniors, high school JROTC students and veterans pursuing a higher education.

North American Van Lines Logistic Scholarship
Any serviceman, veteran, or military dependent (spouse or child) majoring in logistics, business, or management can apply for the North American Van Lines Logistic Scholarship. In summary, the scholarship will award two students with a $1,000 dollars each to the school of their choice. The Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) Scholarship Program

The MOPH Scholarship Program is a competitive scholarship program that awards approximately eighty (80) scholarships to Purple Heart recipients and their spouses, children, and grandchildren each year. Designed to provide financial support to Purple Heart recipients and their families for the direct costs of higher education – it covers things like tuition, books, incidental fees, and room and board.To qualify, you must be one of the following:
- A Purple Heart recipient and member of the MOPH (learn more about membership at www.purpleheart.org, or call 703-642-5360);
- The spouse or surviving spouse of a Purple Heart recipient and member of the MOPH;
- The direct lineal descendant (child, step-child, adopted child or grandchild) of a Purple Heart recipient and member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Foundation; or
- The spouse, surviving spouse or direct lineal descendant (child, step-child, adopted child or grandchild) of a service member killed-in-action or who died of wounds.
Fee Waiver for Dependents of POW's,MIA, or Deceased in Combat Veterans
When, a parent or spouse veteran was killed, died as a direct result of injuries received or has been officially reported as being either a prisoner of war or missing in action while serving honorably as a member of the United States armed forces during a qualifying period of armed conflict or was formerly a prisoner of war or missing in action under a qualifying period of armed conflict.
A dependent child or spouse “is entitled to a waiver of tuition, maintenance fees, student activity fees and required registration or matriculation fees and shall be admitted without cost to any of the institutions of higher education owned, operated and maintained by the state.”
