Inclement Weather Schedule Changes For Thurs., April 3, 2025.
The UT Martin regional centers at Jackson, Parsons, Ripley, Selmer and Somerville are all closed Thursday, April 3, because of the storms and power issues. The main UT Martin campus is open and operating on a regular schedule.

The Earth is our classroom! Experiential learning is what makes the student experience within the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences unique. During their four years at UT Martin, students will have hands-on laboratories at the UT Martin Farm, the UT Martin Coon Creek Science Center, or the Reelfoot Lake Environmental Field Station.
We also strive to provide our students with high-impact learning experiences such as internships, research, international study, and service learning. The college provides over $150,000 in scholarships each year and has over 20 student organizations tied to the various areas of study.
Dr. Rachna Tewari, associate professor of agricultural economics, has been named the University of Tennessee at Martin Featured Faculty Scholar for the spring 2022 semester.
Tewari began her career at UT Martin in 2013 as an assistant professor and was promoted to associate professor in 2017. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University in Hyderabad, India, a master’s degree from Symbiosis International University in Pune, India, and West Texas A&M University, and a doctoral degree from Texas Technical University.
