Make a difference by teaching with a degree in special education.
Special Education Interventionist degrees and licensure are for dedicated, compassionate people who aspire to teach children, youth and adults with cognitive and learning disabilities or physical, behavioral impairments to help improve their overall quality of life. The special education program at UT Martin prepares future teachers with the ability to communicate with, educate, inspire and guide the students they will have in the classroom through a wide variety of courses geared towards student success and understanding. Whether you specialize in grades K-8 or 6-12 with focuses in English, mathematics, science or social studies, Special Education Interventionists will receive clinical lab experience, mentoring and a semester of student teaching.
“UT Martin has such a close-knit community surrounding the campus and it offers so many opportunities within the classroom as well as outside the classroom. There are always events planned for everyone attending UT Martin, so there is always something to do. ”
